The Spark
Recoup Power Management was born from a simple observation: Vehicles and equipment are mobile power plants, yet we still rely on idling engines or inefficient generators to get the job done.
The Mission
We believe in "scavenging"—capturing the energy that’s already being produced and putting it to work. Whether it’s powering a block heater in a Canadian winter or running high-draw tools on a remote job site, our goal is to eliminate waste and maximize utility.
The Future
Our mission is to move beyond "Mobile Power" and into Vehicle-to-Grid(V2G) integration, allowing fleet vehicles to stabilize the Alberta grid during peak demand and extreme weather alerts.

The "Invisible Harvest" (Highway Validation)
- The Achievement: Completed a 275km return trip from Wetaskiwin to Langdon with a 300lb payload.
- The Data: Maintained a fuel economy of 12.0 L/100km while continuously harvesting 40A.
- The Impact: Matched the bottom of third-party fuel modeling (12.0–12.6 L/100km), proving the energy harvest has a negligible impact on vehicle performance.

Off-Grid Commercial Landscaping
- The Achievement: Powered a 2-man landscaping crew through a full day of 5 residential sites using 100% scavenged energy.
- The Data: Delivered 448Wh of energy to Ego 56V tool equipment with zero grid connection or gas generators.
- The Impact: The system successfully self-replenished from 32.6Ah to 59.6Ah during normal transit to the dump and home.

Alberta Winter Resilience
- The Achievement: Validated the Bear Volts Polar Series lithium battery performance in Alberta’s extreme cold-weather conditions.
- The Data: Collected data over several months showing that winter fuel impact remains statistically indistinguishable from baseline operations.
- The Impact: Confirmed the hardware is ruggedized and ready for year-round Alberta fleet duty cycles.

If you operate school buses, municipal vehicles, waste collection trucks, or commercial highway vehicles and want to turn your fleet into a distributed energy asset — we want to hear from you. No new infrastructure required. No significant fuel economy impact. Just energy your vehicles are already producing, put to work.
Pilot positions are limited. We are currently accepting expressions of interest from Alberta fleet operators.

After being laid off, he launched his own full-time landscape and construction company — and turned it into a live testing ground for Recoup, using the system daily to charge his Ego and Makita tool

After being laid off, he launched his own full-time landscape and construction company — and turned it into a live testing ground for Recoup, using the system daily to charge his Ego and Makita tool batteries in the field while collecting real-world performance data. He incorporated Recoup Power Management in January 2026 and has been developing and validating the prototype ever since. Elias previously developed and pitched a startup concept to CBC's Dragons' Den, and brings that same entrepreneurial conviction to Recoup. Based in Langdon, Alberta
